Stingy shopkeeper Arkwright sells everything from bananas to bootlaces. Meanwhile, his underpaid and overworked nephew Granville dreams of another life beyond the constant clang of the shop bell.
Arkwright plans to open the shop extra early to catch the morning commuter rush, but Granville is unimpressed with his plan to sell off a surplus of fig biscuits and toilet rolls with inspirational texts.
