Can I try it before I subscribe?

Yes!

If you decide that BritBox isn’t for you – no worries. No commitment. You can cancel anytime.


How much is it?

BritBox is only $6.99 a month, and gives you unlimited access to all BritBox programmes including exclusive premieres, hard-to-find gems, national treasures and everyday favourites.


Why are some shows no longer available? When will they be back?

BritBox needs to secure proper licenses for our content and those licenses are granted for a limited period of time. If a license for a show has expired we can often extend it but sometimes we have to remove it from the service. You can find shows that are leaving BritBox soon in the “Last Chance” section. If we don’t have a show you would like to see, please email us atsuggestions-us@britbox.com.


How do I contact customer service?

Can I watch on multiple devices?

Yes, for only $6.99 a month you can access BritBox from web, Apple TV (4th Generation or Airplay to older models), Roku, iPhone, iPad, Chromecast, and Android devices.


How to use BritBox


How do I sign up?

To sign up on web, follow these steps:

  1. Click on “Sign In” or the circular ID Icon in the upper right corner
  2. On the sign in page, Click on the "Start your 7-day FREE trial" button
  3. On the register page, enter your name and email address, create your password, and click the "Register" button
  4. On the payment details page, enter in your credit card information, and click the "Start free trial" button

To sign up on Roku, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the circular ID Icon in the upper right corner
  2. On the next screen, click on the "Register" button
  3. If a "Request for information" prompt appears click "OK"
  4. Enter your email address, create your password, and click the "Register" button
  5. On the successful account creation screen, click the "Subscribe" button
  6. On the next screen, click the "Start Free Trial" button

To sign up on Apple TV, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the circular ID Icon in the upper right corner
  2. On the next screen, click on the "Register" button
  3. Enter your name, email address, create your password, and click the "Register" button
  4. On the successful account creation screen, click the "Subscribe" button
  5. On the next screen, click the "Start Free Trial" button

To sign up on iOS, follow these steps:

  1. On the homepage, Click on the "Start your 7-day FREE trial" button
  2. On the register page, enter your name and email address, create your password, and click the "Register" button
  3. If a "Confirm Purchase" prompt appears, click "Continue" and your subscription will be billed through your Apple ID default payment method.
  4. If a "Verification Required" prompt or a prompt about your Apple ID payment information, follow Apple's instructions and return to the BritBox app
  5. If a dialogue box does not appear, click the "Subscribe" Button and return to either step 3 or 4

How do I sign in?

To sign in on web, follow these steps:

  1. Click on “Sign In” or the circular ID Icon in the upper right corner
  2. Enter your email address and password
  3. If you’ve forgotten your password, click the “Forgot your password” link on the sign in page and we’ll email you a link to reset your password

To sign in on Roku or Apple TV, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the circular ID Icon in the upper right corner
  2. On the next screen, Click on the "Sign In" button
  3. Enter your email address and password

  1. Click on "Menu" in the upper left corner
  2. Click on the circular ID Icon in the upper right corner of the drop-down menu
  3. Enter your email address and password
  4. If you’ve forgotten your password, click the “Forgot your password” link on the sign in page and we’ll email you a link to reset your password

How do I change my billing information?

If you signed-up on BritBox.com:

  1. Go to your profile online
  2. Click on “Account details”
  3. Click on the “Subscription” tab
  4. Under “Payment Method” click “Change”

If you signed-up via your Roku account:

  1. Go to yourRoku account page
  2. Under "Payment Method", select "Update"
  3. Change your account information and select "Save Changes"

If you signed-up via your iTunes account:

To change your iTunes billing information via iTunes on your PC:

  1. Launch iTunes
  2. Go to the Account tab of your navigation bar, sign in using your Apple ID, and select "View My Account..."
  3. In your Apple ID Summary, click Edit
  4. Change your account information and select "Done" to save the changes

To change your iTunes billing information via an iPhone or iPad:

  1. Go to your Settings and select "iTunes & App Store"
  2. Select your Apple ID, then "View Apple ID"
  3. Enter your email and password if it is requested
  4. Select "Payment Information"
  5. Change your account information and select "Done" to save the changes

If you signed-up via your Google Play account:

To change your Google Play billing information via a PC:

  1. Access yourGoogle Play account
  2. Enter your email and password if it is requested
  3. Find the subscription you want to cancel
  4. Select "Cancel Subscription"

To change your Google Play billing information via an Android device:

  1. Open the Google Play store
  2. Select Menu > Account > Subscriptions
  3. Enter your email and password if it is requested
  4. Find the subscription you want to cancel
  5. Select "Cancel Subscription"

How does billing work?

The credit card you have on file in your account will be billed automatically each month on the same day as your original subscription, after the initial trial period is over. Your BritBox subscription will automatically renew each month unless you cancel before the end of billing month.


How do I cancel?

You can cancel online at any time by taking the following steps:

  1. Go to your profile
  2. Click on “Account details”
  3. Click on the “Subscription” tab
  4. Click “Cancel Your Subscription” at the bottom of the page

If you signed up via your iTunes, Google Play or Roku account, go to your account settings to cancel your subscription there:

If you signed up for BritBox through an Amazon Channels subscription, go to yourAmazon Channels account settingsto cancel.


How do I change my email address?

If you signed up on BritBox.com:

  1. Go to your profile
  2. Click on “Account details”
  3. Click on the “Your Details” tab
  4. Enter your new email address into the field on the page and click “Update”

Remember, your email address is your login, so you’ll need to use the updated address to login to BritBox in the future.

If you signed up via your iTunes, Google Play or Roku account, go to your account settings to change your email:


How do I change my password?

If you signed up on BritBox.com:

  1. Go to your profile
  2. Click on “Account details”
  3. Click on the “Password” tab
  4. Enter your current password and your new password, and click “Change”

How do I set parental controls?

  1. Go to your profile
  2. Click “Parental Controls” For security purposes you will be asked to enter your Password
  3. Create a four-digit PIN
  4. Click the slider below your PIN to set the appropriate level of viewing restriction
  5. Click “Save”

Any viewer who wants to watch a programme that is restricted will be asked to enter the PIN before they can watch.


How do I access closed captioning?

To Access on Web, iOS, or Android:

  1. If the episode or movie is playing and you can see other elements of the video player like the volume slider and progress bar but an "S" or “CC” icon does not appear on the lower right hand side of the video player, then closed captioning is unavailable for this episode or movie.
  2. If the episode or movie is playing and you cannot see any elements of the video player like the volume slider and progress bar, see steps 3 and 4.
  3. If you are using an Android or iOS device, tap the screen and proceed to step 5.
  4. If you are using a PC, move the cursor and proceed to step 5.
  5. If closed captioning is available for an episode or movie, either an "S" or “CC” icon will appear on the lower right hand side of the video player.
  6. If a light blue bar isn't below the "S" or “CC” icon, click on the “CC” icon to turn on closed captioning.
  7. If a light blue bar appears below the "S" or “CC” icon then closed captioning is already turned on for the episode or movie. Click on the "s" or “CC” icon to turn it off.

To Access on Roku:

  1. First click the down arrow on the Roku remote while the episode or movie is playing.
  2. If closed captioning is available for a show, a “CC” icon will appear on the lower right hand side of the video player.
  3. Click on the “CC” icon to turn on closed captioning.
  4. Click on “CC” again to turn it off.

To Access on Apple TV:

  1. Navigate to the image of the episode you would like to watch on it's brand or season page. For a movie, navigate to the movie's specific landing page.
  2. If closed captioning is available for a show, a grey button with a play icon and the letters "CC" on it will appear below the episode image or beside a movie's default play buttons.
  3. Instead of clicking on the episode image itself, nagivate down to the grey button with a play icon and the letters "CC" on it. The button will highlight white when you reach it.
  4. Click this button to play the movie or episode with closed captioning.
  5. To turn off closed captioning for an episode, navigate back to the image of the episode you would like to watch on a show's brand or season page and click the image.
  6. To turn off closed captioning for a movie, navigate to the movie's specific landing page and select the default play buttons.

Our service meets the FCC requirements for closed captioning and we aim to caption all of our content soon.


How do I access another season of a show on Roku and Apple TV?

Navigate all the way to the left on the show's episode rail until the blue box with the current season turns white, then click on the box. Select the season that you would like to watch on the next page.


Which devices can I watch BritBox on?

BritBox is available on the web, Roku, Chromecast, Apple TV (4th Generation or Airplay to older models), iPhone, iPad, and Android devices. If you have a suggestion or a request, email us atsuggestions-us@britbox.com.

If you would prefer to access on other devices you can also sign up for a BritBox subscription separately through Amazon Channels and access it on all major device platforms including FireTV, SmartTV's Blu-ray players, Game consoles, and Fire tablet. For more information about devices goHERE.


Where can I stream BritBox?

BritBox is currently available in the U.S. only.


Do I need a cable or satellite subscription?

No. BritBox is available without a cable or satellite subscription. You can start watching right now with a 7-day free trial.


Do I need to download additional software to use BritBox?

If you would like to watch BritBox on your computer or mobile devices, just go towww.britbox.com. You can also use our mobile and tablet apps on your Apple and Android devices and access our TV apps from Roku and Apple TV, but it’s not mandatory.


If I am a BritBox subscriber can I access my subscription on Amazon channel?

Unfortunately, you can't use your BritBox login and password to access the service on Amazon Channels. Amazon runs a separate service that currently does not support this. We will provide an update when this is supported.


If I signed up for BritBox on Amazon Channels can I access the Britbox website or Apps using my login or password?

Unfortunately, you can't use your Amazon login and password to access the BritBox.com service or apps. You are only able to access the BritBox service on Amazon Channels through Amazon’s products. We will provide an update when this is supported.
